It’s National Waffle Day today, in honor of the first waffle iron patent being issued on August 24, 1869. So we’ve been eating waffles for a long time. I came across this quote and thought it was perfect for today. Leslie Knope (Parks and Recreation) will always amuse.
I’ve written before about whether or not to send greeting cards (see here). Nowadays a text or social media post is deemed acceptable. So when I came across this graph to determine how to make that decision it made me laugh.
This week A Cup of Jo posted How to Write a Condolence Note. The piece was incredibly touching (you should read it) as well as full of practical advice. I’m going to bookmark it for future reference. I always try to keep in mind many of these points, but it’s always good to have a reminder, especially when they come from someone who’s been in this position.
