A friend is embarking on a new life in a new home and I wanted to send my best wishes. Picking the right card is as important as picking the right words, but this card seemed to embrace both; a striking red design and envelope with the perfect wording on the front:
May happiness knock early at your door,
stay late, and leave the gift of good fortune.
It may be well past Valentine’s Day but we know a little person who would love this Nesting Heart.
Kimochis – the name is taken from the Japanese word for feelings – are “toys with feelings inside”. This brand strives to teach children communication skills, and hence confidence. Using a variety of characters there is a curriculum and suggestions for working with your child to develop such skills.
I particularly liked this design, with one heart snuggled inside another. The idea is that when one family member has to be away from home they can take part of the twosome while the child keeps the other. That way the little one can focus on the love they’re still receiving even in times of separation. What a love-ly idea!
